A network of buses on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays opens up the Dales for you. Details of services in Wensleydale are provided below. Full details of these and other services in the Dales are available on the Dalesbus website
Many services are new or revised this year, so don’t rely on last year’s timetable.

Wensleydale Vintage Bus - service 127
Ripon - Leyburn - Redmire - Aysgarth Falls - Hawes - Garsdale (Also operates on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays)
This bus service connects with Wensleydale Railway services at Leyburn station and Redmire station, giving passengers the opportunity of spending several hours in either Aysgarth Falls or Hawes. This year, the bus visits Aysgarth Falls in both directions. The service runs between 27 March and 31 October 2010.
Dales & District services 156/157
Gayle - Hawes - Leyburn - Bedale - Northallerton
On Sundays there is a bus every two hours on these routes. Buses run daily between Gayle and Northallerton. On Sundays there are through services, but on weekdays the route is split in two: Gayle - Bedale (services 156/157) and Bedale - Northallerton (service 73). These services run all year.
The Northern Dalesman - services 831 and 832
Ribblehead to Hawes, Reeth and Leyburn
The Northern Dalesman runs on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 2 May until 17 October 2010, providing connections from Settle, Ingleton and Ribblehead (on the Settle-Carlisle railway) to Wensleydale and Swaledale.
The Yorkshire Dalesman - service 800
York - Leeds - Ilkley - Bolton Abbey - Grassington - Buckden - Aysgarth - Hawes
This service starts on 4 April and runs until 24 October 2010, providing three hours in Hawes and almost four hours in Aysgarth.
The Eastern Dalesman - service 820
Leeds - Otley - Pateley Bridge - Fountains Abbey - Ripon - Masham - Leyburn - Richmond
This service starts on 2 May and runs until 24 October 2010, providing over three hours in Leyburn.
Between 2 May and 17 October 2010, this service also provides a connection from the Wensleydale Railway at Leyburn station (at 12.50) to Middleham, Jervaulx Abbey and Masham.
