Scruton
Even though it is in need of some repair work, Scruton station building is still recognisable.
The main brick and wood building, which was the toilets, waiting room and booking office is still there along with the small wooden signal box. The signal box is now empty and the platform has eroded away from the edge of the track.
Thanks mainly to the efforts of the people of Scruton, the overgrowth that has been unattended to for many years has been cleared and the future is again looking hopeful for this lovely village station.

Crakehall
With the line from Bedale to Leyburn being single track, Crakehall station was a 'passenger only' platform. The platform edge has been removed.
It had no passing loops or sidings and unlike some of the other stations had no facilities for livestock.
The building is a two-storey construction, with only the top floor being visible from the train.
Even though we do not use this station, we do have a crossing and most days you'll see a crossing keeper opening the gates to speed the train along.
Spennithorne
The positioning of Spennithorne station is quite strange. Very near to the main Leyburn to Bedale road, and over a mile away from the village of Spennithorne, in some ways it would have been easier to travel to Leyburn to get the train.
A small station it had only one platform and was similar to Crakehall, being a 'passenger only' station. Over the last few months a lot of renovation work has been carried out; however it is a privately owned building.
